Floor Manager

Join Our Team as a Team Leader Cleaner!

We are currently seeking a Team Floor Manager (Cleaner) for Tsawwassen Mills Shopping Mall (food court) in Delta, BC. This is a full-time position where you will work alongside a team of cleaners while also supervising and coordinating their daily tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in common areas, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Staff Supervision & Leadership
• Supervise, train, and support cleaning team members.
• Assign daily duties and monitor staff performance.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleaning standards are met.
• Provide coaching and corrective feedback when necessary.
• Assist with employee onboarding and ongoing training.
• Manage shift coverage and address staffing shortages.
• Clean the food court the property
• Perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, waxing floors, and vacuuming
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Respond promptly to spills, broken glass, and other cleaning needs
• Coordinate and assign duties to a team of three cleaners
• Ensure washrooms and common areas are sanitary and well-maintained
• Order cleaning supplies as needed
• Support and manage the cleaning team to maintain high standards

• Cleaning Operations
  

• • Oversee cleaning of food court seating areas, tables, floors, waste stations, entrances, and common areas.
  • Ensure garbage and recycling are collected and disposed of regularly.
  • Monitor washroom cleanliness and coordinate cleaning schedules as required.
  • Ensure cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
  • Verify that all cleaning tasks are completed according to company standards and schedules.
  Quality Control
  • Conduct routine inspections throughout the shift.
  • Respond promptly to cleanliness concerns and service requests.
  • Implement corrective actions to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Maintain detailed inspection and operational records.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience is an asset
• Strong communication skills and reliability
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
• Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Job Details

• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Pay: $22-$23 per hour
• Schedule:
  • Wednesday - Sunday
  • 12pm-8pm
• Experience:
  • Cleaning: 2 years (preferred)
• Work Location: Delta, BC
