About One Kids Place

ONE KIDS PLACE – Children's Treatment Centre provides rehabilitation and related support services for children and youth (up to the age of 19) and their families living in the Districts of Muskoka, Nipissing, and Parry Sound. All staff provide service within an interdisciplinary team environment committed to family-centered practice.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the Clinical Service Manager (CSM) is an engaged and resourceful values-based leader who will develop internal and external relationships in support of the Centre's strategic and operational priorities. The CSM will apply developed management competencies and strong leadership capabilities. Being community-minded, the CSM will provide leadership to staff in all locations and work collaboratively with the full leadership team to create and promote an inclusive workplace culture, championing a participatory decision-making approach, supporting front-line staff and each other in the delivery of rehab services, resulting in the most positive outcomes for the children, youth, and families who receive our services.

Job Duties Clinical Services
  • Provides program and service-specific leadership and direction for the development and provision of quality services for children, youth, and families.
  • Ensures that standards/benchmarks and performance indicators are being met by staff members and interprets the data used for evaluating the quality of assessments and clinical interventions.
  • Implements policies/procedures to ensure clinical practices meet or exceed guidelines set by the Regulated Colleges of all disciplines, Empowered Kids Ontario (EKO), and the Centre.
  • Ensures that program-specific services are consistent with the provisions of the Child and Family Services Act, policies, Regulated Health Colleges, procedures of the Centre, and relevant accreditation standards.
  • Assigns urgent or crisis client referrals to all clinical staff, while completing regular monitoring and evaluation of caseload data to inform workload leveling and ensure service delivery volume targets.
  • Provides leadership and integrates policies and processes to ensure continuous quality improvement principles are embedded in service design, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Provides leadership and support for quality improvement and performance measurement to ensure clinical activities address client and family needs, goals, and priorities.
  • Facilitates the integration of quality improvement initiatives and best practices that can be monitored and measured using reliable and valid data.
  • Ensures compliance with service documentation and reporting procedures.
  • Participates in the development of the Centre's annual service delivery operating plan, as well as tracking and reporting on progress throughout the year.
  • Ensures program development, clinical practice, and clinical service philosophy are consistent with the vision, mission, and values of the Centre.
Community Networking
  • Establishes effective working relationships with community stakeholders within a multi-stakeholder environment to ensure integrated/seamless service delivery and service delivery planning.
  • Participates on assigned District, Regional, and Provincial Committees/Workgroups as required.
Management
  • Coaches, develops, and supervises regulated and non-regulated staff. Completes strategically and operationally aligned performance reviews of designated staff.
  • Demonstrates understanding and commitment to staff and client safety and participates in all required education.
  • Works closely with the Human Resources Department to make recommendations to the Executive Director regarding the hiring and/or termination of departmental staff.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to apply relevant legislation (e.g., Child and Family Services Act, Human Rights, Health and Safety, PHIPA, etc.).
  • Maintains ongoing internal and external communication (written and verbal) as a requirement for the position.
  • Creates and fosters a positive and inclusive team culture informed by the values of the Centre.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Health or Human Sciences or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of progressive management experience is preferred.
  • Experience with remote and/or marginalized communities.
  • Supervision of in-person and virtual services across a broad geographic area (i.e., Districts of Muskoka, Parry Sound, and Nipissing).
  • Evidence of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Experience leading healthcare quality improvement projects and demonstrated leadership experience related to performance measurement, reporting, CQI, business and process analysis, and evidence-based care.
  • Project management skills and knowledge are considered an asset.
  • Ability to coach, develop, and supervise regulated staff (e.g., SLP, OT, PT, Social Work) within a unionized workplace.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills and flexibility to adjust to changing priorities.
  • Resourceful and independent with the ability to bring leadership within a collaborative team-oriented environment.
  • Computer literacy with MS Office Suite and Clinical Data platforms (e.g., CRISP).
  • Proven track record providing high-level customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Travel required, so a valid driver's license and proof of insurance are required.
  • Knowledge of the districts of Muskoka, Parry Sound, and Nipissing would be an asset.
  • Fluent in both official languages is required.
  • Proof of COVID vaccinations as required by the sector.
Compensation

$44.48 to $55.68 hourly (depending on prior experience).
