About the RoleWe are hiring an Industrial Maintenance Helper for a busy quarry and heavy industrial operation. This is a hands-on role for a mechanically inclined candidate with experience in mechanical maintenance, industrial machinery and equipment repairs.

Responsibilities

Assist with mechanical maintenance and repairs
Work on conveyors, gearboxes, screens and other industrial machinery
Use hand and power tools for repairs and fitting
Assist with basic MIG, TIG or Arc welding
Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, telehandlers and forklifts after training
Assist with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
Follow strict safety and PPE procedures
Work outdoors year-round, including extreme heat, cold and dusty conditions
Work at heights and in confined spaces

Requirements

3–5 years of heavy industrial, quarry, mining, cement or similar experience
Hands-on mechanical maintenance or repair experience
Strong mechanical aptitude and power tool experience
Experience with industrial machinery preferred
Heavy equipment experience is an asset
Basic welding/fitting experience is an asset
Working at Heights and Confined Space certification preferred
Must pass respirator fit testing and be clean-shaven where the respirator seals
Able to work afternoon/night shifts and overtime
