This role is not suited to candidates whose primary background is food processing, food production, or commercial facilities maintenance.
The Role

Lead the Electrical Department and supervise electricians/apprentices
80% hands-on electrical work on the production floor
Troubleshoot electrical, PLC, automation and controls issues
Program and modify PLCs, HMIs and VFDs
Support equipment installation and commissioning
Drive machine reliability, downtime reduction and continuous improvement
Mentor and train junior electricians
Coordinate outside electrical contractors when required
Maintain electrical documentation and ESA/code compliance

Requirements

442A Industrial Electrician License
10+ years industrial electrical experience
2+ years electrical team leadership/supervision in manufacturing
Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
Allen-Bradley/Rockwell experience
Siemens experience is an asset
HMI, VFD, automation and industrial controls experience
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Manufacturing experience
Mechanical or robotics experience is an asset
