We are hiring skilled Night Shift Wheel Loader Operators for a major industrial client in Woodstock. You will be a cornerstone of our evening production cycle, keeping heavy material moving efficiently and safely.
Daily Responsibilities:
Safely handle Caterpillar 980 and 988 series wheel loaders, skid steers, and support tools to transport aggregates and load transport vehicles.Execute routine pre- and post-shift machine walkthroughs, fluid checks, and general preventative upkeep.Troubleshoot minor equipment hiccups and assist maintenance staff to keep operational downtime to a minimum.Utilize utility machines and hand tools to maintain clean, orderly, and hazard-free operational zones.Strictly follow site safety standards, environmental rules, and mandatory PPE policies, including respirator compliance.
Qualifications & Requirements:
3 to 5 years of hands-on industrial heavy equipment operating history, specifically featuring large-scale wheel loaders (980/988 units) within mining, aggregate, or heavy civil sectors.Surface Miner common core certification is heavily preferred. Candidates without a formal ticket must demonstrate extensive, verifiable seat-time on the requested loader models.Ability to work 100% outdoors through all seasonal weather shifts (heat and cold year-round), lift up to 50 lbs, and clear a respirator fit test (clean-shaven standard).
