Job Overview
Join a pioneering laser health company offering an innovative, drug-free treatment option for people living with HSV, an underserved patient population seeking additional options for managing recurrent outbreaks.

Genesis Laser Health is seeking experienced, dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to join our healthcare team. Our goal is to provide sameday or next-day treatment to patients experiencing the early stages of an HSV outbreak. We have partnered with medical clinics in Richmond, Vancouver and the North Shore to facilitate timely access to treatment for patients who book through our online platform.

As we continue to grow our presence throughout Greater Vancouver, we currently require practitioners who are available on an on-call basis to provide treatments at our partner clinic locations. Treatments are external and non-invasive and typically take approximately 15 to 30 minutes to administer.

Our equipment is compact, portable and designed for use in a clinical environment. We offer competitive hourly compensation, including compensation for travel time, as well as paid, hands-on training. The ideal candidate will have access to a vehicle and be available on call two to three days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Provide external, non-invasive laser treatments to HSV diagnosed patients for both oral and genital outbreaks.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining a safe, supportive and privacy-focused environment.
  • Accurately document patient treatments and relevant treatment information through the company's digital platform.
  • Follow established clinical protocols, safety procedures and laser operating requirements.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals and staff at our partner clinics to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of our services.
  • Maintain patient dignity, discretion and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

  • Nurse Practitioner (“NP”) registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (“BCCNM”) with adherence to its practice standards and other requirements at all times.
  • Current professional liability protection through the Canadian Nurses Protective Society
  • Experience in medical office settings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with diode laser use is a plus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients, clinic partners and internal team.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on dignity and respect.
