Mobile Heavy Duty Mechanic (Field Service Technician)
Location: Saskatchewan Assigned service territory (mobile role)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Reporting To: Garage Foreman
About the Role: Mobile Heavy Duty Mechanic (Field Service Technician)We are seeking a skilled Mobile Heavy Duty Mechanic to join a growing fleet maintenance team. This is a field-based role supporting utility and heavy equipment operations across an assigned region. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse range of heavy-duty trucks and utility equipment both on-site and in the shop when required.This role is ideal for a self-motivated technician who enjoys independence, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced field service environment.
Key Responsibilities: Mobile Heavy Duty Mechanic (Field Service Technician)
Field Service & Mobile Repairs
  • Respond to roadside and on-site breakdowns
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • Perform emergency and scheduled repairs in the field
  • Operate a fully equipped service truck safely
Fleet Maintenance & Shop Support
  • Perform preventative maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and equipment
  • Service utility fleet equipment (bucket trucks, digger derricks, etc.)
  • Support shop repairs when not in the field
  • Complete inspections and maintenance schedules

  • Trenchers
  • Plow cats
  • Trailers and heavy trucks
  • Various off-road utility equipment
Documentation & Safety
  • Complete work orders and service reports
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Follow all health and safety procedures
Requirements: Mobile Heavy Duty Mechanic (Field Service Technician)Must Have
  • Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification (Red Seal or provincial equivalent)
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence
  • Own tools
  • Strong experience in heavy-duty truck and equipment repair
  • Hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Field service or mobile repair experience
  • Preventative maintenance and diagnostics experience
Asset Qualifications
  • Class 1 or Class 3 licence
  • Experience with utility fleets (bucket trucks, digger derricks, etc.)
  • Welding experience
