Level II Certified Dental Assistant – Maternity Leave Coverage

Milltown Dental is looking for a friendly, dependable, and experienced Level II Certified Dental Assistant to join our team for temporary maternity-leave coverage beginning at the end of September 2026.

Schedule:

• Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
• Tuesday and Thursday: 12:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.
• Alternating Saturdays: 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Chairside assisting during a variety of dental procedures
• Taking dental radiographs
• Performing Level II duties within the assistant's qualifications
• Preparing and turning over treatment rooms
• Following current IPAC and sterilization protocols
• Maintaining accurate and complete patient records
• Supporting patient comfort and explaining procedures when appropriate
• Assisting with inventory and other clinical responsibilities
• Communicating effectively and working cooperatively with the entire dental team

Required qualifications:

• NDAEB-certified Level II Dental Assistant
• HARP qualified
• Current CPR certification
• Strong understanding of Ontario IPAC requirements
• Excellent communication, organization and teamwork skills
• Dependable, professional and committed to providing an excellent patient experience

Previous dental assisting experience and familiarity with Dentrix would be considered assets.

This is a temporary maternity-leave position, with the possibility of continued employment depending on the needs of the practice.
