Elite Excavator Operator – Urban Infill & Underground Parkades (Metro Vancouver)

About Us: We are a premier real estate development and construction management firm specializing in high-density multi-family residential projects across British Columbia. We build complex 3-storey multiplexes with common underground parking facilities in municipalities like Burnaby and Coquitlam. We operate with a strict adherence to physics, the BC Building Code, and WorkSafeBC regulations.

The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Excavator Operator (Zero-Tail Swing, 14-20 Ton) who speaks fluent "Job Site." You are not just moving dirt; you are our first line of risk mitigation. You will navigate extremely tight lot lines, deep excavations, and critical urban infrastructure.

Core Responsibilities:

Execute precision bulk and detail excavation for common underground parking and storage garages on tight residential lots.
Trench for site servicing, strictly ensuring sanitary sewers maintain a minimum 1.0m cover and storm sewers maintain a minimum 0.45m cover outside of paved areas.
Work seamlessly under the supervision of our Geotechnical Engineers for soil removal, site preparation, and the placement and compaction of engineered fill.
Navigate meticulously around established Tree Protection Zones (TPZ) and critical root zones as dictated by our Arborist reports.
Maintain strict compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations, municipal bylaws, and safety procedures to prevent adjacent property encroachment.

Required Qualifications:

Experience: 10+ years of heavy equipment operation, specifically in Metro Vancouver urban residential excavations.
Equipment Mastery: Expert proficiency with mid-sized zero-tail swing excavators, required to navigate strict spatial separations and 1.2m side yard setbacks.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of shotcrete shoring support, underpinning, trenching safety, and reading civil/geotechnical blueprints.
Risk Management: Flawless track record with BC One Call utility locates and working around live city infrastructure.
