Our FI client is looking for a Content Designer/ UX Copywriter to join their team.
This will be 12+ months, fulltime hours per week, 4x per week onsite in Downtown Toronto.
Working closely with Product Designers, Researchers, Product Managers, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering teams, you'll craft experiences that simplify complex financial concepts, improve usability, and strengthen our brand voice across digital touchpoints.
What You'll Do
- Create and optimize user-focused content for web, mobile, and digital product experiences.
- Design content that guides customers through key financial journeys, including onboarding, account management, investing, lending, payments, and customer support.
- Write and refine UI copy including:
- Navigation labels
- Buttons and calls-to-action
- Forms and field instructions
- Error messages
- Notifications and alerts
- In-app guidance and educational content
- Partner with UX Designers and Researchers to understand customer needs and pain points.
- Translate complex financial terminology into clear, accessible language.
- Ensure content aligns with accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
- Develop and maintain content standards, guidelines, and governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to ensure regulatory requirements are reflected appropriately in customer-facing content.
- Contribute to and evolve the brand voice across digital channels.
- Use customer insights, usability testing, and analytics to continuously improve content effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Content Design, UX Writing, UX Content Strategy, or Digital Copywriting.
- Portfolio demonstrating user-centered content solutions for digital products.
- Strong understanding of UX principles and customer journey mapping.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Experience collaborating within cross-functional product teams.
- Ability to simplify complex information while maintaining accuracy.
- Familiarity with content design tools such as Figma, Miro, Confluence, and content management systems.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services, fintech, banking, insurance, wealth management, or payments.

Salary
$45 - $52 USD per hour
