Director of Finance

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership for a respected nonprofit organization. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will oversee financial operations, support organizational planning, and partner with the senior leadership team and Board of Directors to ensure long-term financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, audits, payroll, and compliance.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership and the Board.
• Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and operational processes.
• Provide strategic financial advice to support organizational decision-making.
• Lead and mentor the finance team while fostering cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPA designation is an asset.
• 7+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audits, and internal controls.
• Experience supporting executive leadership and Board reporting is an asset.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
