Lead Field Technician – Concrete Lifting

$30.00–$35.00/hour | Full-Time Seasonal | Immediate Start
Approximately 11–12 Weeks | Sherwood Park / Edmonton Area

Looking for solid full-time work for the next three months?

CR Concrete Lifting is looking for an experienced, mechanically inclined Lead Field Technician to join our team immediately for the remainder of our 2026 operating season, running through approximately mid-November.

Maybe you're between projects, recently finished a contract, coming out of the oilfield or trades, or simply looking for a solid opportunity for the next few months.

You don't need concrete lifting experience.

We'll train you.

What we're looking for is much harder to teach: ownership, reliability, mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, professionalism, and pride in your work.

What You'll Do

You'll work as part of a two- to three-person crew completing residential and commercial concrete lifting projects throughout Edmonton and surrounding communities.

Our technicians rotate between leading and supporting depending on the project and responsibilities that day. You won't be the only person expected to lead, but you need to be comfortable stepping up and taking ownership when it's your turn.

You'll:

  • Learn to lift and stabilize settled concrete using specialized polyurethane injection equipment.
  • Work hands-on with specialized tools, trucks, pumps, hoses, compressors, and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot problems and adapt when conditions change on site.
  • Communicate directly and professionally with homeowners and commercial customers.
  • Help coordinate safe and efficient project execution.
  • Maintain clean, organized trucks, tools, equipment, and jobsites.
  • Complete project documentation accurately.
  • Make sure equipment and inventory are ready for the next project.
  • Take ownership of your work and the customer's experience from start to finish.

Who We're Looking For

Your experience could come from:

  • Construction or skilled trades
  • Automotive
  • Heavy equipment
  • Industrial or facility maintenance
  • Oilfield
  • Millwright or mechanical work
  • Utilities
  • Landscaping
  • Foundation work
  • Other hands-on technical environments

We're more interested in what you're capable of than having the perfect résumé.

You'll likely be a strong fit if you:

  • Are mechanically inclined and comfortable with tools and equipment.
  • Enjoy troubleshooting and figuring out how things work.
  • Have hands-on experience in a trades, mechanical, industrial, construction, maintenance, or similar environment.
  • Have experience communicating directly with customers or clients.
  • Have led, trained, mentored, or taken responsibility for others.
  • Notice problems and take action instead of waiting to be told.
  • Show up consistently and keep your commitments.
  • Take pride in doing quality work.
  • Work well independently without needing constant supervision.
  • Keep your equipment and workspace clean and organized.
  • Are comfortable with physical outdoor work.
  • Want to learn and develop new skills.

You don't need to have held a Foreman or Crew Lead title.

You do need to be someone your teammates can rely on.

This Is a Short-Term Opportunity. Our Expectations Aren't.

We're hiring someone for approximately 11–12 weeks, starting immediately and working through mid-November.

We're not looking for temporary-job effort.

We're looking for someone who takes responsibility for doing the job properly, looks after their equipment, contributes to the team, treats customers professionally, and takes pride in what they accomplish at the end of the day.

If you're someone who sees a problem and naturally starts thinking about how to solve it, you'll probably enjoy this work.

What We Offer

  • $30.00–$35.00/hour, based on experience.
  • Immediate start.
  • Full-time work through approximately mid-November.
  • Paid training in a specialized trade.
  • Modern equipment and well-maintained company trucks.
  • Small, supportive team that takes pride in doing quality work.
  • Opportunity to develop new technical skills.

If it's a strong fit for both sides, there may also be an opportunity to return for our 2027 operating season.
