Cook food to standard using various methods like grilling, sautéing, baking, or frying. Keep work surfaces sanitized and handle raw vs. ready-to-eat foods appropriately. Cover, label, and date all leftover products so they can be safely stored at the end of the shift. Check supplies, keep a record of what is running low, and notify the head chef of any shortages.
