We are currently seeking dependable and safety-conscious Traffic Control Personnel to support traffic management during the morning rush period in Ottawa. Successful candidates will be stationed at designated intersections and stop signs, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles through active work zones while maintaining the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and nearby workers.
Responsibilities
  • Direct traffic safely through designated intersections and work zones
  • Maintain a smooth flow of traffic during peak morning hours
  • Ensure the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and work crews
  • Follow all traffic control procedures and site-specific safety requirements
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately
  • Arrive on time and maintain a professional, safety-first attitude throughout each shift
Qualifications
  • Previous Traffic Control Person (TCP) or flagging experience is an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable
  • Safety-focused with the ability to work independently
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Government of Canada Reliability Security Clearance (mandatory)
  • Reliable transportation to and from the worksite
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
  • CSA-approved safety footwear
  • High-visibility safety vest

Schedule
  • August 3, 2026 – September 4, 2026
  • Monday to Friday
  • 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. (2 hours per day)

Duration:
  • Temporary
