Responsibilities
- Direct traffic safely through designated intersections and work zones
- Maintain a smooth flow of traffic during peak morning hours
- Ensure the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and work crews
- Follow all traffic control procedures and site-specific safety requirements
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately
- Arrive on time and maintain a professional, safety-first attitude throughout each shift
- Previous Traffic Control Person (TCP) or flagging experience is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Safety-focused with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Government of Canada Reliability Security Clearance (mandatory)
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
- CSA-approved safety footwear
- High-visibility safety vest
