Pay Scale: $46.50 – $52.00 / hour (Includes supervisory & AIT-certified premiums)
Overtime Pay: 1.5x regular rate after 8 hours/day or 44 hours/week
Estimated Annual Earnings: $115,000 – $145,000+ / year (Depending on overtime & project schedule)

THE OPPORTUNITYPrinciple Projects Ltd. is an established industrial concrete and civil contractor operating across Western Canada since 2006. As a 100% woman-owned and 51% Indigenous-owned company, we build major infrastructure—petroleum refineries, power stations, dams, and industrial manufacturing facilities.
We are seeking an experienced Concrete & Structural Formwork Supervisor to lead frontline execution across project sites in Alberta. Acting as key site management between crews and project superintendents, you will direct site crews, read blueprints, verify tight formwork tolerances, and hit daily production targets safely.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESField Execution & Leadership: Direct daily activities for carpenters, concrete finishers, and laborers on heavy civil pours, gang forms, footings, piers, walls, and suspended slabs. Translate general work requirements into prioritized daily and weekly action plans to hit critical production goals.
Safety Leadership: Lead by example by championing a safe work culture, enforcing OHS regulations and company safety policies. Lead daily toolbox meetings and manage daily hazard assessments (FLHA) and safety documentation.
Quality Control & Site Administration: Read and interpret structural engineering blueprints, shop drawings, and formwork design plans. Inspect completed formwork to ensure it is level, plumb, square, and built strictly to specification before concrete placement. Maintain accurate daily site reports, material receiving logs, attendance tracking, and safety paperwork.
QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONSExperience & Core Skills: Proven background in industrial concrete construction and formwork supervision. Strong blueprint-reading capabilities, spatial layout skills, and formwork system knowledge (Traditional cribbing & System forms like PERI). Strong communication, crew management, and problem-solving abilities. Physical capability to perform full-body field tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, standing for long periods) in variable weather conditions.
Required & Preferred Certifications: Safety Certifications include CSTS-2020, First Aid, Ground Disturbance Level II, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform (AWP), and H2S Alive. Leadership Credentials such as ACSA Leadership for Safety Excellence or AIT Industrial Construction Crew Supervisor designation are considered a strong asset.
