Field Service Technician
Location: Hamilton, ON
Salary Range: $23.00–$27.00/hour
Tenure: Full-Time | Temporary to Permanent
Work Schedule: Morning & Afternoon Shifts
We are currently seeking a mechanically inclined Field Service Technician to join a growing industrial manufacturing team in Hamilton. This position involves assembling, installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy industrial equipment both in the shop and at customer sites throughout North America.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install industrial equipment and mechanical systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and technical specifications
- Perform equipment commissioning, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance
- Install piping systems and mechanical components
- Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes
- Assist with rigging, hoisting, and positioning of large equipment
- Complete service reports and technical documentation
- Travel to customer sites across North America for installations and service work
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, millwright, field service, or industrial construction environments
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience reading blueprints and engineering drawings
- Pipe fitting, equipment installation, or maintenance experience is an asset
- Forklift and overhead crane experience is considered an asset
- Valid driver's license and valid passport required
- Comfortable with frequent travel throughout North America
- Strong communication and customer service skills
