The ideal candidate has experience processing payroll for unionized hourly employees, including 12-hour shifts, overtime, shift premiums, and other schedule-based pay rules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain employee payroll records and verify timesheets, pay rates, and payroll changes.
  • Calculate overtime, vacation pay, shift premiums, bonuses, deductions, and payroll adjustments.
  • Administer payroll for rotating and non-standard work schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, collective agreements, and company policies.

  • Partner with HR and Finance on payroll and benefits administration.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, Human Resources, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of payroll and benefits administration experience.
  • Experience processing payroll in a unionized hourly environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with 12-hour shifts, rotating schedules, overtime, and shift premiums is an asset.
  • Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office.
  • PCP designation is considered an asset.

Work Arrangement

  • Full-time, onsite position based in Scarborough, Ontario.
  • Travel between two nearby work locations is required.

Compensation

$65,000–$75,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
