AbouttheProject:

TheEglintonCrosstownWestExtensionwillbringtheEglintonCrosstownLRTanother9.2kilometresfartherwest,creatingacontinuousrapidtransitlinefromtheeastendofTorontointoMississauga.TheStations,Rail,andSystems(SRS)packageencompassesthedesign,construction,integration,andcommissioningofkeyprojectcomponents.

PositionOverview:

TRP has a current vacancy for a BIM Coordinator.

Wearelookingforaproactiveanddetail-orientedBIMCoordinatortosupportthedigital

deliveryofamajorinfrastructureproject.Thesuccessfulcandidatewillplayakeyroleinthe

development,coordination,andimplementationofBIMprocessesthroughoutthedesignand

constructionphases.

Responsibilities:

CoreResponsibilities

• ContributetothedevelopmentoftheBIMExecutionPlan(BEP),guides,andprotocolsduringthedesignphase.
• Ensurealldesigninformationcomplieswithcontractualrequirements,theBEP,andallrelevant

BIM,CAD,GIS,andInformationManagementstandards.

• CoordinateandsupportcommunicationwithDesignConsultants.
• OverseethecorrectuseofinformationworkflowswithintheCommonDataEnvironment(CDE).

BIMCoordination&InformationManagement

• CoordinateandmonitorBIMdeliverablesacrossdesignpartnersandsubcontractors.
• Ensurecompliancewithclientrequirements,projectstandards,andTRPguidelines.
• Receive,review,andaggregateBIMmodelstomaintainthefederatedmodelupdated.
• Review3Dmodelsfromdesignersandsubcontractorstoensurequalityandconsistency.
• Performvisualandautomatedclashdetectionandsupportspatialcoordinationefforts.
• Identify,communicate,andmanagedesignconflictsthroughissuetrackingandBCFworkflows.

ModelDevelopment&Support

• DevelopandmaintainBIMobjectlibrariesanddesignscriptlibraries.
• SupportthecreationandupdatingofBIMmodelsduringconstruction,includingsections,viewpoints,andotherrepresentationsforteamunderstanding.
• Performquantitytake-offstosupportschedulingandtradecoordination.
• Reviewandintegratelaserscandataintofederatedmodelswhererequired.
• IncorporatefielddataandassistinproducingAs-Builtmodelsaccordingtoprojectstandards.
• Ensuredataintegrity,consistency,andalignmentbetweenBIMmodels,databases,andreportingtools.

Technical&TeamSupport

• DeliverBIMnavigationandworkflowtrainingforprojectteammembers.
• ProduceandexportCADdrawingsinlinewithprojectBIM/CADstandards(e.g.,IFCdrawings,fit-outsupport).
• Participateinongoingtrainingandprofessionaldevelopmentwithintheprojectteam.

• SupportandadheretoallHealth&Safetypoliciesandprocedures.
• Promoteasafe,inclusive,andenvironmentallyresponsibleworkingenvironment.

Qualifications:

• BachelorsdegreeinArchitecture,Engineering,ConstructionManagement,orarelateddiscipline.
• DemonstratedexperienceasaBIMCoordinator(orsimilarrole)onlarge-scaleconstructionprojects,ideallywithinthetransportation,rail,orinfrastructuresector.
• StrongproficiencyinBIManddesignsoftware,includingAutodeskRevit,Navisworks,ACC,
• Civil3D,Synchroorrelatedtools.
• SolidunderstandingofBIMprinciples,workflows,andinternationalstandards(e.g.,ISO19650,projectinformationmanagement,modelcoordination).
• Excellentcommunication,collaboration,andproblem-solvingabilities,withthecapacitytoworkconfidentlywithmultidisciplinaryteams.
• Abilitytothriveinafast-paced,dynamicenvironment,managingmultipleprioritiesandcoordinatingwithdiversestakeholdersundertightdeadlines.
• ExperienceusingPowerBIfordashboards,datavisualization,andprojectreportingisanasset.
• Knowledgeofscriptingorprogramminglanguages(e.g.,Python,C#,VBA,orSQL)isconsideredastrongplusandwillsupportworkflowautomationanddigitaldeliveryinitiatives.
