Key Responsibilities:
- Operates paint equipment and utilizes supplies. Mixes and applies basic and industrial paint as per specifications.
- Measurepaint thickness as per specifications.
- Inspectfinal product, ensuring conformance to specifications.
- Performdaily maintenance and minor repairs of painting equipment.
- Maskskids for sandblasting and painting.
- Clean and prepares skids for painting.
- Packageskids for shipping.
- Performrigging techniques as per industry standards.
- Operateforklift and overhead cranes to transfer skids and packages throughout shop.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years' experience painting and/or sandblastingin an industrial capacity.
- Knowledge of industrial coatings and painting techniques.
- Ability to read technical drawings and coating specifications.
- Familiarity with coating inspection methods and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Commitment to safety and quality
- Previous experience with water based, epoxy paint and primer mixing requirements an asset.
- Previous experience with rigging and overhead cranes is an asset.
- Valid forklift certification is an asset.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- Must have own transportation as facility is not accessible by public transportation.
- Must have CSA approved safety boots
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
