Journeyman Electrician - Shutdown - Day and Nightshift (7/7 and 6/1) - COMPLETION INCENTIVE!

MSCP is hiring Journeyperson Electricians and 3rd/4th Year Apprentice Electricians for the 2026 CNRL Horizon Shutdown in the Fort McMurray area.

Foreman opportunities are also available for qualified candidates with industrial leadership experience.

• Journeyperson Electricians – $50.00/hour Base Rate

• 3rd/4th Year Apprentices – Competitive rates based on apprenticeship level

• Shutdown Completion Incentive – Journeypersons and Foremen Only – $3.00 for every eligible hour actually worked, including straight-time and overtime hours, payable upon successful completion of the assigned shutdown term

• 10% AUTOVAC

• 12-hour shifts

• Canada-Wide Travel Support – MSCP-paid airfare from designated Canadian locations to the Edmonton flight hub

• Edmonton-to-Site Transportation / Flights Provided

• Camp Accommodation Provided

• 6/1 Shutdown Schedule

• 7/7 Rotation

• Schedule dependent on project requirements

This doesn't have to be just a shutdown. Strong performers will be considered for continued employment with MSCP following completion of the shutdown.

Rates vary by classification. The Shutdown Completion Incentive applies to eligible Journeyperson Electricians and Foremen only and is conditional upon successful completion of the assigned shutdown term. Vacation and statutory holiday pay will be administered in accordance with applicable employment standards and MSCP's AUTOVAC program.
