Caregiving for Elderly

Seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to provide high-quality care for elderly individuals in a private home. This position involves evening shifts from 5 PM to 9 PM weekdays and Saturday, with Sunday 12 hour shift from 8 am to 8 pm. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care and be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through attentive and respectful support. Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
• Assist with preparing meals if necessary and feeding patiently as senior has swallowing issues
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
• Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to family members
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and infection control measures
• Having a positive attitude is essential

Qualifications

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or home care preferred
• Knowledge of patient care, pallative care and working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous
• Ability to perform heavy lifting is needed for mobility assistance and manual transfers
• Strong communication skills and compassionate demeanor
• Ability to work independently and be patient always
• Work evenings from 5 PM to 9 PM Monday through Saturday, with Sunday availability from 8 am to 9 pm required
• Certification in caregiving and CPR is mandatory
• One year commitment required
