How will you make an impact:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data
  • Add, terminate and update employee information and payroll records as required
  • Address employee pay related concerns and provide accurate payroll information
  • Processing payroll by established deadlines
  • Filing & Clerical Duties
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Provide information and payroll-related data and reports required for management decision making
  • Ensure accurate administration, including remittance and reporting of all payroll related deduction including WSIB, garnishments and family support payments
  • Payroll maintenance including vacation pay, adjustments, ROE's, Journal Entry, manual cheque calculations etc
  • Maintain payroll operations by following company policy, procedures and compliancy in accordance with government regulations
  • Work closely with Human Resources to coordinate the receipt of information, clarify changes, provide further details, reconcile discrepancies, etc.
  • Time and Attendance review and reporting
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

The successful candidate will possess:

  • 3 years experience in a payroll position
  • Knowledge of Payroll compliance and legislation
  • Excellent Microsoft Skills, including proficiency in excel
  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Automotive accounting experience will be considered an asset.
