Are you interested in being a part of a team in the exciting and interesting field of orthodontics? We are currently seeking an RDH with must-have ortho experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a positive and enthusiastic demeanor and enjoy working with both children and adults.
Responsibilities:
- Provide dental hygiene functions as directed by the doctor
- Perform clinical duties including:
- Bonding brackets
- Repositioning and repairing brackets
- Changing wires
- Debonding brackets
- Removing excess cement
- Retainer insertions
- Retainer/appliance adjustments
- Fitting and cementing bands
- Provide patients with oral hygiene instruction
- Take scans, x-rays, intra-oral and extra-oral photos if required
- Coordinate charting procedures
- Follow clinical protocols including IPAC and Health & Safety policies
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
- Pleasant and professional demeanor with a passion for patient care
- Must be in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario
