Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder with expertise in welding 20-gauge stainless steel. The ideal candidate will be able to produce clean, high-quality welds on thin-gauge stainless steel components while maintaining tight tolerances and minimizing distortion.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding on 20-gauge stainless steel and other thin-gauge materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
- Fit, tack, and weld stainless steel components to specification.
- Ensure welds are clean, smooth, and meet quality standards.
- Inspect finished welds for defects and perform touch-ups as required.
- Operate grinders, polishers, and other fabrication equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of TIG welding experience, preferably with thin-gauge stainless steel.
- Strong experience welding 20-gauge stainless steel with minimal burn-through and distortion.
- Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Experience with fitting and fabrication is an asset.
- Knowledge of welding safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Requirements
- Proficient in TIG welding stainless steel.
- Experience welding material from 20 gauge and up.
- Ability to pass a practical TIG welding test.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
