THE ROLE
We are currently recruiting for Level B Heavy Equipment Operators for a well-established environmental and agricultural operation in Arthur, Ontario.
This is a hands-on equipment operating role supporting daily operations at a large-scale composting facility. The successful candidate will primarily operate front-end loaders while also supporting general site duties, equipment maintenance, and material handling as required. Operators who demonstrate strong performance and safety awareness may have the opportunity to progress into advanced equipment operator roles.

- Consistent day or afternoon shifts available (Monday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate heavy equipment including front-end loaders, tractors, skid steers, bulldozers, and other mobile equipment
- Perform pre-operational inspections and report equipment concerns
- Move and process compost materials while supporting site production operations
- Assist with material handling, composting processes, and general site activities
- Perform ground duties including equipment cleaning, housekeeping, refueling, and basic maintenance
- Complete daily paperwork and production records accurately
- Maintain safe, efficient equipment operation while meeting production goals
- Follow all health & safety policies, procedures, and lockout/tagout requirements
- Support team operations and complete additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of heavy equipment operating experience preferred
- Experience operating front-end loaders or similar mobile equipment
- Agricultural, construction, landscaping, waste management, or industrial equipment experience is considered an asset
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions all year round
- Safety-focused mindset with strong attention to following procedures
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and complete ground duties as required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Valid G Class Driver's License preferred
