Registry Program Manager

JOB SUMMARY
The Registry Program Manager leads the operations of the Canadian National SCI Registry, also known as the Rick Hansen SCI Registry (RHSCIR), and identifies opportunities to align RHSCIR's strategic direction with the priorities of Praxis' Programs (Research & Care, Innovation), to achieve Praxis' Vision and Mission. This role supports participating acute care hospitals and rehabilitation sites (along with community partners) with network activities and with data collection, coordinates best practice implementation activities, clinical study operations, and works closely with clinicians, researchers, people with lived experience, administrators and Praxis teams to strengthen SCI research, care and innovation across Canada.
The Registry Program Manager internally works with members of Praxis' Research & Care, Informatics, Innovation and Evaluation and Accountability teams. Externally works across a national network of acute care hospitals and rehabilitation sites, along with community partners, clinicians, researchers, site coordinators, people with lived experience, and community organizations.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key Responsibilities
- Lead RHSCIR planning and operations, oversee data collection and reporting, facilitate site engagement, and support the implementation of best practices at participating acute care hospitals and rehabilitation sites across Canada (including oversight of regulatory and institutional approvals).
- Coordinate strategic and program plans, priorities, timelines, risks, deliverables and sustainability planning for RHSCIR operations and improvement initiatives.
- Support high-quality data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement in collaboration with site teams and internal partners.
- Foster engagement and build strong relationships with clinicians, researchers, coordinators, people with lived experience, administrators and community partners to support collaboration and best practice implementation.
- Prepare updates, materials, and communications for RHSCIR sites, relevant committees (e.g. RHSCIR Steering Committee), Praxis team members and external partners.
- Lead budget planning, resource tracking, and contracted activities for RHSCIR.
- Manage related contracts, contractors, consultants and staff including meeting regularly and tracking deliverables.
- Support the RHSCIR Steering Committee, oversee RHSCIR-related policies and procedures, such as maintaining study documentation, data quality, training, along with the RHSCIR team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Master's degree in health sciences, public health, health administration, research, or a related field preferred.
- Clinical research training (e.g. Good Clinical Practice, human subject research etc.)
- Program/project management education is an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in program management, health research, clinical study operations, health system improvement, or a related field.
- Experience coordinating multi-partner initiatives in healthcare, research, or the not-for-profit sector.
- Experience with data-driven programs, clinical registries, clinical studies or quality improvement is an asset.
- Knowledge of spinal cord injury care, rehabilitation, clinical and/or research environments is an asset.
- Experience managing contract relationships and staff.
