About Us:

Marlborough Day Nursery ECS Ltd is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing inclusive, play-based, family-centered early intervention and education services for children with diverse needs. We operate out of BrightPath Kids centers in Calgary, Edmonton and Red Deer.

Qualifications

  • Permanent Alberta Teaching Certificate in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of teaching experience in an Alberta Early Childhood Services (ECS) program.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive education and play-based learning within a childcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, positive behaviour support, and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
  • Thorough understanding of Alberta Education ECS requirements, including Program Unit Funding (PUF), Individual Program Plans (IPPs), and inclusive programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure IPP program delivery consistently meets and exceeds Alberta Education ECS standards and requirements.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to Educational Assistants, supporting the implementation, monitoring, and ongoing review of Individual Program Plan (IPP) goals.
  • Review and support implementation of evidence-informed Behaviour Support Plans that are appropriate for childcare environments and promote successful inclusion.
  • Conduct developmental screenings and ensure children's developmental milestones, progress, and learning outcomes are accurately measured, documented, and communicated.
  • Coordinate the onboarding of new staff, including orientation and review of organizational policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Oversee Program Unit Funding (PUF) hourly payroll and ensure accurate staffing records.
  • In coordination with the Program Manager, manage PUF documentation compliance audits, funding projections, annual operating plans, and reporting requirements.
  • Supervise, mentor, and coordinate the schedules of educational assistants, classroom therapy aides, and therapy staff.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Program Manager, families, classroom teachers, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure effective communication and collaborative service delivery.

Compensation

  • Salary: $90,000–$100,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
  • Full-time, 12-month position.
  • Includes one month of paid vacation annually.
