Senior Accountant

We are a client-focused public accounting firm providing accounting, assurance, tax, and advisory services to owner-managed businesses and individuals throughout New Brunswick. We are looking for a motivated professional who values client relationships, enjoys working in public practice, and is looking to grow within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of compilation engagements

• Preparation and execution of review engagements

• Preparation and execution of audit engagements

• Preparation of corporate tax returns (T2)

• Preparation of personal tax returns (T1)

• Working directly with clients on accounting and tax-related matters

• Managing multiple client engagements and deadlines

• Reviewing financial information and identifying issues or opportunities

• Supporting and mentoring junior team members as part of engagement work

Qualifications

• CPA designation preferred (or working toward designation considered an asset)

• Experience working in public accounting

• Experience preparing compilation, review, and audit files

• Experience preparing corporate and personal tax returns

• Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting and tax standards

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment

• Strong communication skills and commitment to client service
