Job Summary The Part-Time Inventory Associate is responsible for accurately and efficiently counting, sorting, picking, packing, and preparing pharmacy orders for shipment or delivery. This role is crucial for ensuring timely and correct order fulfillment and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Order Fulfillment: Locate and retrieve specified items from shelves, racks, or bins according to order sheets.
  • Accuracy: Accurately sorts and counts the item against the order details to ensure 100% accuracy before packing.
  • Packing: Securely and efficiently package orders, selecting appropriate materials and boxing to prevent damage during transit.
  • Shipping Preparation: Apply correct shipping labels, organize packages, and stage them for pickup or transport.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with organizing stock, rotating inventory, and performing inventory counts. Alert management to any out-of-stock or defective items.
  • Warehouse Operations: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Follow hygiene and safety guidelines.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other staff to accurately and efficiently process customers orders. Responsible for carrying out any duties assigned by the management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is often preferred.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, order fulfillment and packaging is an asset but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret written orders and safety instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Basic math skills and math reasoning.
  • Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move packages.
