Our client is a well-established Western Canadian construction company with a strong reputation for delivering quality commercial, industrial, and design-build projects. They are looking for an experienced Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership of projects from preconstruction through completion and thrives in a collaborative environment where strong relationships, communication, and teamwork are valued.

This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who is looking to join a growing organization and play a key role in delivering successful projects while building strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle project delivery from preconstruction through project closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
  • Manage project financials including budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, change management, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, procurement plans, and project documentation.
  • Identify potential risks and proactively develop solutions to keep projects moving forward.
  • Support contract administration, change orders, and project closeout activities.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Coordinators and support field teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience as a Project Manager within the Canadian commercial construction industry.
  • Experience working for a general contractor managing commercial, industrial, institutional, or design-build projects.
  • Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, procurement, contracts, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Experience with CCDC contracts is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Design-build experience is considered a strong asset.
