Our public sector client is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Clerk to provide general clerical and office support for a temporary assignment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing documents, maintaining accurate records, and supporting office operations. The successful candidate will assist with filing, document organization, shredding, and general administrative tasks while handling confidential information with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize, file, and maintain both electronic and paper records
  • Assist with decluttering and organizing office files and documents
  • Prepare files for storage or shredding as required
  • Perform accurate data entry and update tracking logs
  • Scan, photocopy, and distribute documents
  • Maintain filing systems and ensure records are properly organized
  • Handle confidential information with discretion
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the team
  • Assist with other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative, clerical, or office support role
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with paper files, records, filing WSIB, Disbaility claims and document management
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and move boxes or files weighing up to 30 lbs
