We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join a growing road construction team in Langley, BC. This position is ideal for individuals who are safety-focused, dependable, and experienced operating heavy equipment on road construction and civil infrastructure projects.The successful candidate will safely operate a variety of heavy equipment while supporting road construction activities and ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, rollers, skid steers, and other construction equipment as required
• Perform grading, excavation, earthmoving, road building, and site preparation
• Support asphalt paving and road maintenance operations
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
• Report equipment defects and maintenance requirements
• Follow site plans, grade specifications, and supervisor instructions
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and crew members to complete projects on schedule
• Adhere to all company safety policies and provincial regulations
• Perform general labour duties when required

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating heavy construction equipment
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
• Strong understanding of construction site safety practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Asphalt paving experience is considered a strong asset
• Previous road construction or heavy civil construction experience
• Heavy Equipment Operator certification is considered an asset
• Experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment is preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to climb in and out of heavy equipment safely
• Ability to sit for extended periods while operating machinery
• Ability to perform physically demanding work when required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment

Schedule

• Full-time hours
• Monday to Friday (hours may vary based on project requirements)
• Overtime and weekend work may be required during peak construction season
