Job Overview

Our client is looking for a Corporate Accountant to join our Finance team on a 12-month contract. In this role, you'll be responsible for full-cycle accounting for the Corporate Office and Finance Companies, helping ensure accurate financial reporting, smooth month-end close processes, and compliance with reporting requirements.

You'll work closely with Finance, Payroll, HR, and regional teams to support accounting operations, intercompany transactions, audits, and continuous process improvements.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform full-cycle accounting for Corporate Office and Finance Companies.

  • Prepare month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

  • Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and variance analysis.

  • Reconcile payroll accounts and support general ledger close activities.

  • Manage intercompany accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and issue resolution.

  • Prepare Canadian entity financial statements and supporting schedules.

  • Support stock-based compensation accounting and cost allocation processes.

  • Assist with quarterly head office cost allocations and intercompany billing.

  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.

  • Assist with statutory reporting and other ad hoc financial analysis.

  • Work with the Oracle Solutions team to improve accounting processes and reporting.

What You Must Have

  • CPA designation (or equivalent).

  • 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a large or complex organization.

  • Experience working with ERP systems; Oracle experience is an asset.

  • Strong accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with multi-currency accounting.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
