MISSION-CRITICAL EQUIPMENT INTEGRATION LEAD

We are looking for a Mission-Critical Equipment Integration Lead to manage the full technical and commissioning lifecycle of owner-furnished, contractor-installed equipment. This role sits at the intersection of design, procurement, construction, and commissioning — ensuring that major mechanical and electrical systems are delivered, fully integrated, testable, and ready for formal commissioning.

This is a staff position with long-term career potential as part of a growing mission-critical commissioning division.

This position is at the site in Regina, Saskatchewan. 14 days on / 7 days off rotation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the full equipment register with lifecycle visibility covering specs, submittal status, factory and site acceptance testing dates, delivery, installation, and commissioning readiness
  • Coordinate equipment activities across design, procurement, fabrication, field teams, and commissioning leads to close scope gaps and align expectations before they become problems on site
  • Review vendor submittals and documentation from a commissioning and integration perspective covering testability, telemetry, alarms, controls interfaces, and sequences of operation
  • Define and align factory acceptance testing and site acceptance testing requirements with the overall commissioning plan, ensuring critical behaviors and control points are tested at the factory and re-verified on site
  • Embed equipment milestones and readiness gates into the commissioning plan and schedule including prerequisites for L3, L4, and L5 testing
  • Coordinate vendor presence and responsibilities for startups, functional testing, and integrated systems testing
  • Track and drive resolution of equipment-related issues including mis-shipments, spec deviations, control incompatibilities, and performance shortfalls
  • Provide clear and concise readiness reports into the overall commissioning status view

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong understanding of mission-critical power and mechanical systems including UPS, switchgear, generators, PDUs, RPPs, chillers, CDUs, busway, and skids and how they behave in large facility environments
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across design, procurement, vendors, and field teams in a fast-moving construction environment
  • Experience integrating vendor testing programs with site commissioning programs, not just receiving equipment at the dock
  • Comfortable making go/no-go decisions based on technical readiness rather than schedule pressure, and backing those decisions with facts
  • Clear and direct communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years in data centre, industrial, or mission-critical projects in roles such as equipment integration manager, commissioning engineer, MEP coordinator, or vendor technical support
  • Experience with formal commissioning frameworks including L1 to L5 methodology
  • Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and controls and I/O lists
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent technical experience
  • Familiarity with project and commissioning tools such as Procore, CxAlloy, or Facility Grid
  • Industrial OFCI experience is welcomed alongside direct data centre experience
  • Vendor-side FAT and SAT experience is acceptable
