Button Puncher

Job Description:

As a Button Puncher, you will operate punching machines used to manufacture small cork components from raw cork materials. You will load and align cork sheets or strips into the machine, operate the press to produce consistent, high-quality parts, and inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and size specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collecting and organizing completed parts for the next stage of production.
• Removing defective pieces.
• Clearing minor machine jams.
• Performing basic machine upkeep.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

This is a fast-paced manufacturing role that requires attention to detail, the ability to perform repetitive tasks, and standing for extended periods throughout the shift.

Requirements:

• Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience is an asset.
• Basic programming knowledge (G-code or similar) is required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to perform repetitive work with accuracy.
• Able to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Reliable, dependable, and safety-conscious.
