Welder/Fitter

We are currently seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter to join our client's fabrication team. In this role, you will fabricate and assemble structural steel and miscellaneous metal products for industrial and commercial projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in producing high-quality work in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Fit, fabricate, and assemble structural steel and custom metal products.
• Perform high-quality MIG welding on steel components.
• Measure, mark, cut, grind, and prepare materials for fabrication.
• Plan fabrication sequences and ensure accurate layouts.
• Operate hand, power, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools safely.
• Maintain quality standards and follow all workplace safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years of welding and fitting experience.
• Valid welding certification required.
• Strong MIG welding skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and accurately read measurements.
• Experience fitting structural steel.
• Experience welding or fabricating stainless steel and aluminum is an asset.
• Able to work independently with strong attention to detail.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
