Position Responsibilities:

If you are a rare individual who lives and breathes short-form content, understands what drives performance across today's leading platforms, and can transform ideas into content that captures attention at scale, this role is for you.

Martell Media is looking for a Shortform Creative Lead to own the creative direction, strategy, and execution of short-form content across platforms including Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and emerging channels. This person will play a key role in shaping Dan Martell's content presence by identifying trends, creating compelling concepts, directing shoots, and ensuring content consistently performs at a high level.

Success in this role means producing engaging content that grows audience, drives reach, strengthens brand authority, and contributes to business growth.

This role includes:

Leading short-form content strategy across multiple social platforms
Identifying trends, platform opportunities, and emerging content formats
Developing high-performing content concepts and creative angles
Directing and filming content with Dan Martell
Providing creative leadership during content shoots to maximize performance and efficiency
Collaborating closely with editors to ensure content is optimized for each platform
Reviewing content performance and using analytics to improve future output
Staying ahead of platform algorithm changes and audience behavior trends
Creating systems and processes that improve content production and scalability
Continuously testing new hooks, formats, storytelling structures, and creative approaches
Working cross-functionally with the content and marketing teams to support growth objectives

Qualifications

Proven experience creating, directing, or managing high-performing short-form content
Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and other short-form platforms
Strong knowledge of social media algorithms, content optimization, and audience engagement strategies
Experience developing content concepts that drive organic growth and reach
Strong video editing knowledge with the ability to provide clear creative direction to editors
Comfortable directing talent and leading content shoots
Excellent creative instincts combined with data-driven decision making
Strong understanding of storytelling in short-form content formats
Ability to move quickly, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Existing personal social media audience of 5,000 to 10,000+ followers is considered an asset but is not required
Self-starter who brings ideas, solutions, and recommendations proactively
