Quality Assurance Technician

Job Overview

Nova Staffing is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for our client to support quality and food safety operations within a crossdock warehouse environment. This role is responsible for ensuring products, processes, and the facility meet company quality standards through regular inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as an active member of the crossdock team and communicate any quality concerns.
• Perform regular quality, grade, and weight checks on products.
• Conduct daily quality audits and pre-operational inspections.
• Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Support and monitor sanitation and cleaning schedules to ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
• Ensure all products meet quality and food safety standards.
• Assist with general operations and support team workflow as required.

Qualifications

• Skills:
• Knowledge of food safety practices (On-Farm Food Safety considered an asset).
• Familiarity with fruit grading procedures is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Team-oriented with a strong work ethic.
• Forklift certification is considered an asset but not required.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
