Senior Data EngineerAbout the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a Data, AI & Analytics team. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong background in building scalable data pipelines, working with modern data warehousing platforms, and supporting production data environments.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of database concepts, data pipeline design, and modern ELT/ETL practices. They should also be able to communicate complex technical ideas clearly and deliver scalable data solutions that support business outcomes.

What You Will Do
  • Design, build, and optimize highly scalable and reliable data pipelines to support ELT/ETL processes across diverse source systems and platforms.
  • Develop reusable frameworks and automation to standardize data ingestion, transformation, reconciliation, testing, and monitoring.
  • Perform thorough code reviews to ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and maintainability standards.
  • Define, document, and enforce data engineering standards for the platform.
  • Partner closely with business and analytics stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for data platforms, including source control, build, test, and deployment workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues such as data quality defects, pipeline failures, performance bottlenecks, and dependency breaks.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize and improve existing pipelines for reliability, observability, and operational efficiency.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, building and operating scalable ELT/ETL pipelines and data integration solutions.
  • 4+ years of experience with data warehousing and Snowflake.
  • Strong SQL expertise.
  • Solid experience with dbt, including model design and testing.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data platforms, including source control, automated testing, and deployments.
  • Experience with tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, Git, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture and data modeling.
  • Ability to diagnose and solve complex, open-ended problems and deliver production-ready solutions.
  • Experience supporting production data platforms, including troubleshooting performance and pipeline reliability issues.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience with Data Vault 2.0.
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience improving data platform reliability, observability, and automation.
Work Model

This role follows a hybrid/in-office work model and requires onsite presence four days per week to support collaboration and business needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $69,500 - $119,500, depending on experience, skills, education, budget, and geographic location. This position may also be eligible for participation in a bonus program.
