At The Triple Crown & Co (formerly The Envyy Lounge), we are Chatham's premier destination for body modification and self-care. We cultivate a welcoming, inclusive, and exceptionally clean environment, specializing in professional body piercings, microdermals, permanent jewelry, and aesthetics. As we expand rapidly and prepare to relocate to a high-traffic mall location this November, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Body Piercing Apprentice to join our growing team.
This is a structured, hands-on apprenticeship designed to build your expertise from the ground up. You will initially focus on mastering front-of-house operations, impeccable studio hygiene, and rigorous sterilization protocols. Hands-on piercing training will commence only after a thorough mastery of cross-contamination safety, customer care, and anatomy theory, ensuring alignment with professional industry safety standards and APP Piercers Association guidelines. The initial months will prioritize comprehensive training in studio operations and observation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain flawless studio cleanliness and execute strict cross-contamination protocols to uphold the highest safety standards.
- Process body jewelry and tools, ensuring proper sterilization and preparation for all procedures.
- Learn and apply proper studio setup procedures in accordance with local health regulations for each client.
- Greet clients warmly, guide them through piercing selections, verify identification, and manage necessary paperwork.
- Provide exceptional aftercare education, ensuring clients feel informed and confident post-piercing.
- Assist with client bookings, efficiently manage walk-in traffic, and professionally answer client inquiries.
- Shadow experienced piercers, gaining valuable observation experience to prepare for independent work.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Must be 19 years of age or older (essential for insurance and age-restricted client intake).
- Reliable transportation is required to ensure consistent punctuality.
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, including potential evenings and weekends.
- Demonstrated genuine passion for body modification and the piercing industry.
- Exceptional attention to detail, personal hygiene, and organizational capabilities.
- Adaptability and ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-traffic retail environment.
- Maturity and resilience in handling situations involving needles, minor blood, and body fluids.
- Strong communication skills for effective front-desk reception and social media interactions.
