STATUS: Hourly – Bargaining Unit CLOSING DATE: 2026.07.06
SUMMARY: This position reports to the Supervisor of the department. The incumbent ensures both the correct set up and operation of their own equipment including the organization of tooling requirements to meet production demands within the Stamping department.
ROLE:

• Performs the set up and tear down of Stamping equipment.
• Operates Stamping equipment to meet production demands.
• Conducts required quality checks to insure product is in compliance and in specification
• Notifies the Lead Hand and/or Supervisor(s) of product defects or other serious occurrences
• Documents and records all necessary information/data as per work cards and other company requirements
• Performs equipment operational checks and does basic troubleshooting
• Performs proper housekeeping, clean-up and 5 S requirements
• Performs all duties according to safety standards and company policies
• Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Good mathematical skills
• Manual dexterity – ability to use common tools
• Good interpersonal and communicative skills

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to meet prescribed production standards
• Experience & knowledge of Stamping related equipment
• 1+ year(s) of experience in the Stamping department with a basic knowledge of hazards, equipment, machinery, and processes within the Stamping area.
• Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy
• Written and oral aptitude in English
• Min. grade 12 or equivalent education
• Conscientious and punctual
• Willing to learn

VACANCIES: 1 Day Shift (7:00am – 3:30 pm)
RATE: $24.83

• Subject to assessment of skills and qualifications by Active following a 90 working days probationary period
• Shifts may vary
• Shift Premium where applicable
