The Role

As a heavy duty mechanic, you would be working in house at our mechanics shop on Windsor Junction. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, brake adjustments, services and repairs for our 8 trucks, 10 trailers, and other items as required. Mechanics may need to make road calls and perform test drives to adequately service the fleet. We are looking for a good, positive attitude that meshes will with our small tightly knit team. For our shop we need someone who is organized, disciplined & eager to get the vehicles in and out of the shop in a timely fashion.

Additional duties will include but are not limited to:

Perform inspection, diagnosis and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Complete required paperwork according to company standard
Perform maintenance related work as required
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Communicate effectively with drivers and management
Stay organized in a fast pace work environment
Complete tasks before required deadlines

Requirements

Journeyman with 1 year experience minimum
Ability to work confidently on a variety of trucks. Ex: Peterbilts, Freightliners, Kenworths, Internationals, etc.
Reliable transportation preferred
Red seal preferred
