THE ROLE:

Our client is a leading distributor of waterworks, infrastructure, mining, and industrial products across Canada and the United States. They are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Shipper/Receiver to join their Langley, BC branch. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in a warehouse and yard environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers. The branch is currently experiencing a busy season and requires additional support due to upcoming employee leaves. This is a temporary opportunity in Langley, BC expected to run until September 2026, with the potential for extension or permanent employment based on performance and business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive, unload, and stock incoming products and materials
• Pick, pull, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Load outbound shipments safely and securely
• Operate forklift equipment to move materials throughout the warehouse and yard
• Complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation
• Maintain inventory accuracy and organization
• Assist with yard maintenance, housekeeping, and warehouse cleanliness
• Support general branch operations as required
• Follow all company health and safety procedures and policies
• Provide excellent service and support to customers and coworkers

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 1-2 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience
• Valid forklift certification required (Counterbalance and Reach Truck)
• Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding work
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems
• Excellent attendance and punctuality
• Positive attitude and team-first mentality
