We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated General Laborer to join our growing team. The individual will be a shop assistant with the following responsibilities:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated General Laborer to join our growing team. The individual will be a shop assistant with the following responsibilities:
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
- Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
- Follow quality and safety standards.
- Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.
- Understand cut lists for daily jobs.
- Additional tasks or projects as defined by the Production Manager.
- assist in the management of the Inventory
- Paid stat holidays
- Monday through Friday, no weekends, overtime as required.

- Tools and equipment are provided.
- Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Some prior Woodworking experience is preferred but not required.

This is a full-time General Laborer role based in Stoney Creek, ON with Closets by Design Niagara.
The role runs Monday through Friday with no weekends, and overtime as required.
The salary range is $19.00–$22.00 per hour.
Benefits include health benefits after 6 months and paid stat holidays.
You’ll operate woodworking machinery and hand tools, understand product lines and installation techniques, follow quality and safety standards, maintain shop equipment, understand cut lists, assist with inventory, and take on tasks as defined by the Production Manager.
Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools is a plus; some woodworking experience is preferred but not required, and strong problem-solving and multitasking skills are valued.
