Leader Technician - Paint T1-4 (Night Shift)

General Job Description:

The Leader Tech is responsible for supporting the Supervisors and Management of TG Minto by following all TG Minto policies and procedures and leading by example at all times. He/ She will work closely with the assigned supervisor and assist with directing employees. Flexible work hours will be necessary. There is a six-month probationary period for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be able to perform all duties in the Paint Booth including paint and set up
• Lead, motivate, and develop team members
• Train & 4M team members, ensure they are trained to the standard
• Daily team member audits to ensure proper procedure is being followed
• Report any personal shortages to Supervisor
• Detailed investigation of mixed KANBAN, short shipments, health and safety incidents, and or any other issues as assigned
• Complete incident reports for all incidents within the department. (Equipment accidents, team member medical conditions, accidents involving quality of our product)
• Maintain team member training matrix
• Review and assign 6S responsibilities daily
• Complete daily 6S audits
• Lead and perform daily start of shift meeting when required
• Communicate safety or hazard alerts to team members
• Identify Kaizen opportunities & implement
• Inventory Counts
• All of the duties must be performed within Health and Safety guidelines
• Ensure a positive work environment and awareness of company quality policy, goals, objectives and your role in TG Minto's success. Follow work instructions.
• Other duties as assigned
• Investigate root cause and countermeasure internal defect spikes and external customer concerns
• Schedule production patterns and adjust as required due to production needs or part shortages

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 Secondary School Graduation Diploma
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Must have an excellent attendance record
• Must demonstrate a regard for company policy
• Must have strong performance in current role
• Education level will be considered.

Straight Shift Timing on Night Shift (10:00 pm to 6:30 am) but may be required to change shifts in order to accommodate production requirements.
