Do you write well, pay attention to the details, and enjoy working across different audiences and channels? We are looking for a Communications Specialist to join our Marketing & Communications team.
In this role, you will help write and coordinate the communications that keep our tenants informed and our employees connected. From tenant correspondence and internal publications to social media and employee campaigns, you will get to work across a variety of channels and brands every day.
This is a great fit for someone with a couple of years of communications experience who enjoys creative work, thinks critically, and wants to be part of a team that has fun together. If that sounds like you, apply today and take the next step in your career with us.

Your contribution to the team includes:

  • Draft, edit, and send tenant-facing communications across our communities, including maintenance notices, policy updates, lease correspondence, and time-sensitive messages that need to be accurate and handled with care.
  • Apply sound judgment to tenant correspondence, recognizing when wording carries broader implications for legal requirements, policy compliance, or how residents experience our brand.
  • Manage the flow of tenant communications to keep messaging timely, consistent, and on-brand across properties and regions.
  • Maintain and improve templates and reference materials so tenant communications stay sharp at scale.
  • Write and produce content for our intranet and other employee-facing channels, with a focus on making information useful and accessible to frontline teams.
  • Support internal campaigns, employee engagement initiatives, and organizational updates.
  • Help maintain a consistent voice and tone across all internal channels.
  • Draft social media messages, respond to comments, and reply to Google reviews to support our digital platforms.
  • Help draft needed content for our website and the occasional media release to share what our teams are building and doing across the country.
  • Keep the editorial calendar and communications tracking organized so nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Edit and proofread materials from across the organization before they go out.
  • Help develop templates and toolkits that make it easier for other departments to communicate well.
  • Track how communications perform and flag what is working and what could be better.

What you need to be successful:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Communications, Journalism, English, Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two plus years of experience in communications, writing, or content role.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to shift tone across audiences and formats.
  • Good organizational instincts and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities without things slipping.
  • Comfort with or curiosity about AI tools, and an openness to making them part of how you work.
  • Experience with organization wide communications is an asset.
  • Familiarity with property management, construction, or real estate is an asset but not required.
