The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Accountant (CPA) to join our firm. This role is ideal for someone with public practice experience who thrives in a client-facing environment and is looking to take the next step in their accounting career.

You will play a key role in delivering assurance and tax engagements while mentoring junior staff and contributing to the firm's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Compilations, Review, and Audit engagements
• Prepare and review corporate and personal tax returns (T2, T1)
• Work closely with clients to provide accounting, tax, and business advisory services
• Assist with tax planning and compliance for owner-managed businesses
• Lead and manage client engagements from planning to completion
• Review work of junior staff and provide mentorship and guidance
• Liaise with clients, government agencies (CRA), and other stakeholders
• Identify and recommend improvements to client accounting processes

Requirements

• CPA designation (required)
• 3–6+ years of experience in public accounting (Canada)
• Strong knowledge of ASPE, CAS, and Canadian tax regulations
• Experience with accounting and tax software (e.g., CaseWare, TaxCyle, QuickBooks, iFirm)
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with owner-managed businesses and SMEs
• Leadership or supervisory experience
• Exposure to a variety of industries (e.g., professional services, construction, retail)
