Shipping Coordinator

ROLE OVERVIEW

This role oversees the overall shipping process at Railcraft USA. to ensure customers are efficiently served.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Prepare and provide information for daily shipment (i.e. shipping lists and instructions for packagers) from Paint line schedule, produced by Production Coordinator (Nicole Morris)

· Participate in and/or facilitate daily production and/or shipping meetings

· Ensure safety and cleanliness of work area

· Complete and coordinate trucking documentation (i.e. BOL, loading copy, etc.)

· Works with accounting for Invoicing month documentation

· Liaise with and provide information as needed to the Operations manager

· Liaise with sales, customer service, customers and co-workers who need assistance with shipping and logistics; provide quotes and information to meet their deadlines

· Quote for future orders if requested by sales, project estimator, project managers and customers

· Meets shipping operations standards by contributing information to strategic plans

· Use computers to communicate via e-mail, enter in information, print document and shop products accurately.

· Available to work on short, noticed overtime depending on customer or departmental requirements.

· Always Wear appropriate safety gear (e.g. safety glasses, mask, earplugs, steel-toe footwear, etc.)

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related or delegated duties as needed.

· Follow up on order status with Production Coordinator

· Responsible to follow established Occupational Health and Safety procedures and policies

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/KPI'S

· Maintaining product delivery based on Order shipping dates with all paper documentation.

· Maintain professional communication between departments within the company regarding overtime and shipping delays.

· Communicate shipping documents on a timely manner with accounting

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE

· Minimum of 10 years' shipping and/or logistics experience

· Post-secondary education in a related area.

· Proficiency with MS Office products and excel and ERP systems

· Basic math skills

· Eagerness and willingness to learn and receive instruction/direction from qualified personnel and managers.

· Demonstrated high standard of integrity and professionalism.

· Demonstrated high level of dependability in being reliable and responsible toward work and others.

· Willingness to use protective clothing and equipment at all times

· High level of self-control, ability to maintain composure, ability to manage emotions in professional manner.

· Deadline oriented/time management

· Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to speak and write English efficiently and effectively

· Excellent attention to detail, adaptability, and problem-solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

· Railing production experience and/or knowledge of products

· Knowledge of ERP
