Payroll Representative

4-Week Contract – Potential Extension

London, ON (On-Site)

$30-$34/hour, pending experience

This role is responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and payroll procedures while providing support to employees and managers on payroll-related matters

Key Responsibilities

Process bi-weekly and bi-monthly payroll for salaried and hourly employees
Review, validate, and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance
Process payroll adjustments, deductions, retroactive payments, vacation payouts, garnishments, and other payroll transactions
Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, journal entries, T4 adjustments, and Records of Employment (ROEs)
Coordinate payroll transactions with banking institutions and maintain payroll records
Respond to employee and management payroll inquiries, providing timely and professional support
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues

Qualifications

Previous payroll processing experience in a high-volume environment
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, payroll practices, and payroll reconciliation
Experience with payroll systems (Workday experience is an asset)
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication and customer service skills
