As an Inside Sales Representative, you'll play a key role in delivering technical product solutions, developing customer relationships, and supporting projects that help power communities across Canada. Responsibilities
Drive Sales & Build Customer Relationships
- Respond to customer inquiries and proactively identify new business opportunities.
- Prepare accurate, competitive quotations for utility, contractor, and infrastructure projects.
- Close sales, identify upselling opportunities, and contribute to sales growth.
- Build strong customer relationships by understanding application requirements and recommending the right solutions.
- Review project specifications and customer requirements to recommend appropriate electrical products and solutions.
- Source pricing, availability, and delivery information from manufacturers and suppliers.
- Recommend alternative products and engineered solutions when required.
- Provide customers with technical product guidance throughout the sales process.
- Coordinate quotations from initial request through order completion.
- Process orders accurately while ensuring pricing, margins, and delivery commitments are achieved.
- Monitor order status, resolve issues proactively, and provide exceptional post-sale support.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, operations, suppliers, and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery.
- Utilize Excel and CRM tools to manage opportunities, track quotations, and monitor sales performance.
- Analyze pricing, vendor comparisons, and market trends to develop competitive quotations.
- Evaluate manufacturer options and negotiate pricing where appropriate.
- Support reporting and business decisions through data analysis.
- Work closely with procurement, operations, category management, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to deliver complete customer solutions.
- Maintain clear communication regarding quote status, pricing updates, inventory availability, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify replenishment needs to help prevent supply disruptions.
- Experience in inside sales, customer service, electrical distribution, industrial products, or technical sales.
- Experience supporting utility, power distribution, electrical infrastructure, industrial, or construction customers is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused with a passion for providing exceptional service.
- Experience using CRM systems is an asset.
- Knowledge of medium- and high-voltage electrical products, utility equipment, or power distribution systems is considered a strong asset.
